I paint on furniture, doors, wodden items, glas and skiferstone. I also paint trolls, "nisser"(Christmas-gnoms) and sceneries from the Norwegian faritales. You may have your favorite token, names, dates or whatever you like painted as decorations on the things I rosemal(rosepaint).

I have learned the art of rosemaling/rosepainting from the rosepainter Solveig Vestenfor Treverket in Hol ,Hallingdal in Norway. For many years I have been "sitting" in her atelier several weeks each year. From her I learned the Halling style of painting. That style has been my main source of inspiration, but I also paint the Telemark, Numedal and Os style.
The decorations are made free-hand with no pattern, so the things I make will never be quite the same or equal. If I make cupboards or several plates , the basic pattern will be the same, though every item will have their own (minor) individuality.
As you will notice from the Gallery I often build the decoration on inspirations from the traditional rosemaling and create my own "style" and exprescion on the articles. If you choose to let me paint something for you, we will decide the colors, the form and the degree of decoration together .

I also have many items (clocks in skifer-stone, kr. 500,- "tiner"(caskets for cookies) from kr.1200,- and upwards ,wine-holders kr. 1200,-, trays, kr. 1300,-bowls, from kr. 400,- butter-holders , kr. 200,-big!wodden spoons (troll-spoons) kr. 600 already painted.
